Funny how a picture can inspire one thing and we end up with something different. I wanted to try some foiling on this card, but I failed and did the white embossing for the sentiment instead. I then had to cover up my sloppy embossing (don't look too close!) by outlining the sentiment with Seedless Preserves Distress Pen. I think my rescue attempt worked out pretty well! I often learn new techniques when I have to rescue my creations :-)

ReplyDeleteHi Lucy! It was great to hear from you. Sorry you aren't feeling well. I can sympathize, as my migraines are once again running my life. I can only spend very limited time on the computer, and I rarely feel like crafting. I'm hoping that this blog hop will keep me inspired to play with paint for a while. The cards I'm seeing are giving me lots of ideas to try.
ReplyDeleteI think your card is beautiful ( Oooh, purple !!!) and I really love the look of the open flower die cuts over the watercoloured b'ground.
Hope you feel better soon!
