I wasn’t sure if there was such a thing as a yellow lotus, but I looked it up and it does exist. I would have made it yellow anyway. Yellow and purple are complimentary colors on the color wheel.
I used the Hero Arts Parquet Cover plate die to cut out the background from an ink smooshed (mostly purple) panel and adhered it to a white card front. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Friendly Messages, which is all cursive. I guess the younger generations won’t be able to read cursive, although I’m not sure when they stopped teaching it in school. It was stamped with embossing ink and heat embossed with some Inkadinkadoo Gold embossing powder which I’ve had forever and it barely looks like I’ve used any!
The lotus was made using Birch Press Layering Lotus dies, layered on some white card stock. I like the touch of gold to help bring out the yellow layers. The leaves were die cut with Spellbinders Sprigs die.
