Sunflower Fun

I’ve had this woodblock sunflower stamp from Hero Arrs for a while and I finally decided to use it. I used Versafine Clair Acorn ink to stamp the image and then used Wow Clear Embossing powder and heat embossed it. Copics were used to color it and then I fussy cut it. I added some Brown Wink of Stella to the center of the flower. The kraft panel was dry embossed using Altenew Basket Weave embossing folder and then cut down to a square.

The Sentiment is from a Stampendous set, heat embossed in gold. The patterned paper was a freebie. The Gold gems are Fun Stampers Journey, the green ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the burlap ribbon is from my stash. I had planned on adding some die cut leaves, but forgot. Too late-it’s already mailed to my sister!

Can you see the sparkle from the Brown Wink of Stella? It’s so hard to capture in pictures.

Layered Tulips

The dies I used are HoneyBee Stamps Layered Tulips. I first ink blended Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks onto watercolor paper. I die cut all of the tulip pieces from the two colors and then used a Zig Real Brush pen to draw some stripes on the pieces and then water colored over the stripes. I like tulips with the variegated colors. I heat fixed the pieces and layered them up, adding some Clear Wink of Stella to the petals that gives just enough sparkle (can’t really see it in the picture). I die cut the stems and put the flowers together on a panel that was embossed using Altenew’s Basket Weave Embossing folder. Both the dies and the Embossing folder are NBUS. The sentiment is from a Stampendous set.
