Bloom

This really is my last card for the 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop.

The floral stamp is from Super Sponsor STAMPlorations-Darling Dog Roses. I colored all of the images with Copics, Altenew alcohol markers and Spectrum Noir markers. I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the flower centers. I die cut it and the black mat with a Spellbinders die set. I had stamped the image and die cut it a few months ago, but hadn’t used it and now that my craft room is under construction, all of my stuff is in boxes in the basement, so I can’t reference the name of the die.

The coffee cup is a digital stamp from Super Sponsor Graciellie Designs Coffee and Love.

The sentiment is from STAMPlorations Clear Stickers

Pink Mulberry paper Roses are from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Coffee and Rainbows

I started off with some ink blending in a rainbow of colors on this card. Spring is here. We will soon see occasional rainbows after the storms.

After heat fixing, I used some glitter embossing paste mixed with Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink and stenciled some STAMPlorations Dots ‘n Beans (Super Sponsor) over part of the panel.

The yellow mug was die cut using Super Sponsor CAS-ual Fridays Coffee Cup dies, always a favorite of mine. I added some swirls of Glossy Accents to the coffee for texture.

The flower and leaf were water colored with Zigs and die cut from STAMPlorations Trendy Spring Blooms.

The sentiment is from an Altenew set. Gold washi tape is from my stash.

A Latte

Here’s another card for the 2021 Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I made a water color background. I then used some glitter embossing paste with some Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink mixed in and used Super Sponsor STAMPlorations Dots ‘n Beans Stencil to stencil a border as well as a bit of smeared steam. The coffee mug is STAMPlorations Chipboard covered with Super Sponsor Your Next Stamp’s Crazy for Coffee printed paper. The sentiment is a Clear sticker from STAMPlorations.

Watercolor Prints

The challenge over at CAS Mix Up for March is Print making with die cuts. It’s also their 5th Birthday Celebration. I really wanted to try this technique. I used a couple of dies from STAMPlorations Trendy Spring Bloom dies to die cut some flowers and leaves. I used my Zig watercolor markers, in pinks and yellows to color the die cuts, then spritzed them and a piece of water color paper and started making prints. It was so fun! I got so involved that before I knew it, I had printed half a sheet of water color paper. It was so pretty that I tried it on the other with a different color combination of purples and yellows.

Here’s my finished printed paper, which I found very hard to cut and use! I ended up die cutting a rectangle using a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die.

I used a sentiment stamp from Uniko Simply Said Blocks stamped on a piece of vellum, die cut using STAMPlorations Label/Tags Nesting die set. I used some Wow Clear Embossing powder over the black ink. I hope that this is CAS enough for the challenge-its not my usual style.

Run on Coffee

Here’s another card using a digital stamp from Polka Dot Orchard called “He Said Coffee”. I printed it on Kraft card stock and colored just a few areas with Copics for a vintage feel.

No talkie

I finally got my first card made for the Coffee Loving Card Maker’s Hop. I used a digital stamp from Super Sponsor Polka Dot Orchard called Gnome Talkie Before Coffee and that’s kind of how I feel in the mornings. I printed the image and sentiment out and colored it with Copics. I added some Mulberry Paper roses from Really Reasonable Ribbon to the mug. I mounted the panel on some MFT Stamps Milk Chocolate card stock before adhering to the card base.

Live Life...

I saw this digital stamp on my friend’s blog and almost immediately went on Etsy to buy it. It is called Shopping in Yorkshire by SheepskiDesigns. I printed it out for a one layer card-something I don’t normally do! I colored it all with Copics. At one point, one of my markers started leaking and left a blob/circle of the darker green ink at the top of the umbrella. Scrap this card? No way! I took my colorless blender and tried to remove it, but it still left a pale blue stain. That’s when I took my C1 gray and outlined the whole image, which covered up the mistake pretty well.

I used two  STAMPlorations Bits of Washi #1 clear stickers under the clear sentiment sticker from STAMPlorations Inspiration #1 Stickers. These have come in handy for me lately since my stamp sets are all packed up in bins and boxes while my husband is remodeling one of our spare bedrooms for my craft room. It’s hard to find the stamp set that I want to use right now. There are different sentiment sticker packs, from birthdays, thank you, inspiration and even coffee sentiments, as well as the washi strips and other backgrounds.

I thought about adding some sequins, but decided this girl didn’t need any bling-she has enough confidence and pizazz all on her own!

Bee-you

International Women’s Day was March 8. There is an awesome bloghop/Instagram hop starting over at the Women.Beyoutifully.You blog. The force behind this phenomenal blog hop is a group of 10 women, who are exceptionally talented card makers having unique personalities and crafting styles. You can look at previous posts on their blog for introductions of the hop organizers. There are 40 generous sponsors offering prizes for commenting as well as for linking a card based on the theme of empowering and encouraging women. Complete information is on the blog listed above.

For my card, I started by making a rainbow ink blended background on water color paper and then added some glitter embossing paste, using STAMPlorations Bloom Succulently stencil. I had to take a close up photo to show the sparkle. The vellum sentiment piece was die cut using  STAMPlorations Bracket Label/Tag dies. The sentiment (and bee die cut) are from Honey Bee, heat embossed with Clear embossing powder to accentuate the black ink. I inked the edges of the sentiment piece with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink. I mounted my panel on some black card stock.
