Birthday Silhouette

I used an ink smooshed (with Distress inks), stenciled background that I had made quite a few months ago to make this card. I found it with some other background panels that I made. I can’t find the stencil that I used right now because I’ve packed up my craft room for a re-model. The silhouette flower was die cut with a Poppystamps die (Edited from Memory Box die). I added some Queen and Co. bling for the flower centers.

The sentiment is from a mini Lawn Fawn sentiment set.

Baby Tag

I needed to make a quick tag for a co-worker’s baby shower so I inked up this sweet Gerda Steiner Hello Little One clear stamp set and colored with Copics.

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with some Wow Clear Embossing powder.

The tag was cut with MFT Stamps Stitched Banner Stax. I cut another tag from pink card stock and trimmed off the bottom to add some color to my tag.

I added a bow to the baby’s head because the Copics were bleeding beyond the image. I couldn’t even clean it up with the colorless blender. So on went the bow!

Happy Place

I love seeing mountains. I live in the Midwestern USA where it is flat. I still remember the first time I saw a mountain range on a family trip out west. The beauty of the snow capped mountains in the distance was nearly breathtaking and so refreshing. This card is just a small reminder of how nature can be a blessing to us.
The slimline mountain and tree dies (NBUS-1st time using) are from Kat Scrappiness, as is the snowy background paper.
The snowflake was cut with Spellbinders Small Die of the Month & the word happy was cut with Stamplorations Happy die. I fussy cut some white card stock to stack behind it.

Monochrome Peace

Peace. I used to think it was an overused, generic word. During the last 6-8 months, it is something that I truly wish and pray for. I am concerned about what kind of world my grandkids will be living in in 25-30 years. I’m praying for our leaders to contemplate how their decisions will impact future generations and that they need to work together, not against each other. We really do need Peace.

The snowflake and sentiment dies are from Poppystamps. The gray panel was cut with Simon Says Stitched Rectangle dies.

Warm and Cozy

I saw the picture for the Card Concept (below) and was inspired to make this card. The printed paper is from Kaisercraft Holly Jolly collection.

The coffee cup image (colored with Copics) and sentiment are from Joy Clair Coffee Talk stamp set (Coffee Loving Cardmakers Super Sponsor).

The snowflakes were die cut from some scraps of pearlescent white card stock leftover from my daughter’s wedding invitations using Spellbinders Small Dies of the Month November 2019.

The circles were all die cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle dies.

Here’s the pearlescent paper I used to cut the snowflakes and the placemat under the coffee cup. You can’t see it in the photo of my card, but it’s too pretty of a scrap to throw away.

Early Valentines

I’m starting on some Valentine’s Day cards.

I used a checkerboard embossing folder to emboss a piece of vellum that I mounted on some light grey card stock. I had inked the edges with some Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide ink. I had to use a heat gun to dry the ink on the vellum. I die cut the hearts and the sentiment from some red glitter card stock. The dies are from Poppy Stamps.

Winter Birthday

Ah-winter birthdays...I hate to wish snow and ice for anyone’s birthday, just because of the mess it makes and the hazardous travel conditions that it causes. Snow can be very peaceful if you can watch it from your home. Individual snowflakes are very pretty. I wanted to make a birthday card for a friend who’s birthday is in early February, so she’s getting a snowflake.

This layered die cut is from the new-to-me Birch Press Designs Issa Snowflake die set. I die cut it once and got 2 cards from it. My 1st card is on this post.

The silver shimmer panel was cut with Stitched Rounded Corner Square dies from Lil’ Inkers (closed in 2020). The sentiment is an older wood mounted Stampendous stamp. The clear snowflakes are from Pretty Pink Posh. I added Stickles to the open areas of the die cuts.

Sweet Gnome

I was cleaning up my craft space and found some die cuts that I had cut out in my Christmas crafting frenzy and never used. So I put together one more Christmas tag with this new-to-me sweet lady gnome die from Simon Says Stamp. The stars and snowflakes were leftover bits and pieces on my craft table.
The sentiment is from a Mama Elephant stamp set.

Hopeful New Year

Happy New Year! Here’s hoping that everything will improve for 2021. I’m not really hoping for a lot of snow, because it makes my work commute difficult. I do like looking at a snowy field through my living room window and I like this snowflake die set. I added some Stickles for a little sparkle.
