Coffee & Roses

Here’s my 6th and final card for the Coffe Loving Cardmakers Spring Blog Hop. I use the Trinity Stamps Coffee Mug Card die set to cut the card out. The set includes a die that cuts a gift card holder that fits inside the mug. I used the STAMPlorations Dots ‘n Beans Stencil to add some background beans in Ground Espresso Distress Oxide ink. The flower is a freebie over at STAMPlorations Spring Fling Blog Hop and Linky party (which I am entering this card). I colored the flower with Copic markers, fussy cut and adhered it to the mug with foam squares. The Clear Sticker sentiment is also from STAMPlorations.

Happy Mug

Here’s card number 5 for the Coffee Loving Card Maker’s Spring Blog Hop
I used another alcohol ink background that I had made previously to cut the mug, using Super Sponsor CAS-UAL Fridays Coffee Cup Fri-dies. I paper pieced the mug into the kraft card stock, added some May Arts Twine and Super Sponsor STAMPLORATIONS Clear Sticker sentiment. I think that this could pass for a masculine birthday card.

Hug in a Mug

Here’s card number 4 for the Coffee Loving Card Maker’s Spring Blog Hop.
I used Sponsor Trinity Stamps Coffee Mug Card Die set to cut out the mug card. There is a gift card holder die included with the set to make it easy to add a gift card inside of the mug.
I used some leftover die cuts from the Birch Press designs Kaleidoscope die set from a previous post to make the fun little flower. The butterfly die cut was laying on my desk from a previous project-cut with Super Sponsor STAMPlorations Flutter Zen 2 Layering dies. The sticker sentiment is from STAMPlorations also.

Coffee beans

This is another card for the Coffee Loving Card Makers Spring Blog Hop
The lovely image and sentiment are from a digital stamp set from Super Sponsor Graciellie Design Coffee is Life. I colored it with Copics. I didn’t know that the Arabica coffee plant has white flowers. I wanted to color these flowers red or orange because I like bright colors, but I wanted it to be more true to what it looks like in nature. They say that the flowers smell like Jasmine. I’d love to visit a grove of coffee trees.  I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the petals for some sparkle.

Kaleidoscope fun

Here’s another card for the Coffee Loving Paper Crafter Spring Blog Hop I had this alcohol ink background sitting in a pile and decided to use it to die cut a coffee mug from the Super Sponsor CAS-UAL Fridays Coffee Cup die. I used my Never Before Used (NBUS) Birch Press Kaleidoscope Trio of dies to make a fun layered background for the mug. The printed paper is from Super Sponsor Your Next Stamp. The sticker sentiment is from Super Sponsor STAMPlorations. It’s too bad that the photo of my card doesn’t capture the beauty of the alcohol inked background that has some gold foil spots mixed in. It is actually a cocoa color with some blue swirls in it.
I Copied this idea of using the layered Birch Press die cuts from Vicki Dutcher @ All I Do is Stamp.

Pink Peonies

I found this pretty digital peony stamp from Power Poppy in my download files and they reminded me of my mom. We had some pretty pink peonies in our backyard that she loved. I never realized until I was an adult that there was any other color of peonies. I colored the image with Copics and cut it out with a My Favorite Things Pierced Circle die. I wanted to try a brand new (NBUS-Never Before Used Schtuff) die that I won from Poppystamps called Butterfly Symphony. I used it to die cut a vellum layer to go over some yellow cardstock. I also used it on some white glitter cardstock, so that I could use the butterflies as embellishments. I added a pink ribbon strip along the left side and a bow and adhered all of the layers to a dark pink panel, then to an A2 card front.
