Quick card using Digital stamps

I needed a QUICK card for one of my daughters’ birthday. You see, I’m one of those people still working, at a large medical laboratory. Yes, I am a Medical Technologist-one of the healthcare professionals that no one ever sees. We are operational 365 days a year, 24/7 so that the doctors can get the results of the hundreds of millions of lab tests that are ordered to find out how a person is doing, including testing for the virus causing this pandemic. I am not working in the area where that test is being performed, but it is being performed in the building where I work. I have been spending any free time making cloth masks for myself, my family and for co-workers. Our lab did have a hard time getting masks for us to wear at first, so we were using the cloth masks. For now, it seems like we have enough disposable ones. I have not been able to make too many other craft projects. I have to say that I’m a bit jealous of those of you who have been able to live in your craft rooms. On the other hand, I’m thankful that I have a job and can support my family.
So back to my card. With all of the distractions, my crafty mojo has been lacking, but I saw a new digital stamp set over at Joy Clair called Spicy Like That and it was just so fun and uplifting that I knew it was what I wanted to go with. I simply copied the image and pasted them into a Word document, visualizing that half of the document is an unfolded A2 card. The front of the card is on the right side of the page. Once printed out on card stock, I cut the page in two and colored it with Copics (making sure that the ink from the printer is completely dry). I also had copied and pasted the maracas, printed and colored them, then cut them out so I could add them to the hands of the margarita glass. For this card, I also added some of the digital sentiments on the inside of the card (using the bottom half of the Word document) so that became the inside of the card. I used the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die to trim my margarita image down, added some mint green card stock behind it and added some Clear drops from Pretty Pink Posh to add some shine. The Cheers die is from The Cat’s Pajamas.
