Word Art Wednesday

I’m linking this card up to Word Art Wednesday #422-423 Anything Goes.

Twofer Challenge/Birthday Celebration

The Twofer Challenge Blog is having their 2nd Blogaversary celebration with the theme of hearts.
I’m playing along. You can read all about it Here. I used the little heart die cut to make a rosebud on the first card. I’m not crazy about how the second card turned out, but I have run out of time to “fix” it. I used a tape runner that said it is specifically for vellum, but it still shows through. In the past, I have tried liquid adhesive, other vellum tape runners, but nothing works. Does anyone have a miracle no show vellum adhesive that they can recommend?

And here is each card separately

Ombré Sympathy

I stamped the floral heart and sentiment from Unity stamp set Beautiful Life, Blessed Memories with Ranger Embossing Ink. I used Wow Clear Embossing powder to emboss the stamped image and sentiment. I then used Distress Oxide inks in Tea Dye, Worn Lipstick, Spun Sugar and
Antique Linen to make an ombré background. This is for a friends mother’s wake, so I thought the soft pinks would look pretty.

Winter CAS

Dies make it so easy to make CAS cards. I love my new Poppystamps Dancing Snowflake Tile die.
I used some off white metallic matte cardstock to cut out the snowflake tile and adhered it to a navy blue cardstock base. I cut the smallest stitched rectangle from Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die set from the same metallic card stock. I stamped the sentiment from My Creative Time Many Greetings set in Memento Paris Dusk ink and added some Wow Clear embossing powder to add some shine.

Celebrate!

Time to celebrate!
The Cake die and Celebrate word die (new) are both from The Cat’s Pajamas.
The Rectangle die cut panels were cut using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies.
The pretty patterned paper is actually a panel from a store bought card. I liked it so much I wanted to use it for a card.
