One Layer Floral

I tend to forget about how much simpler it is to make one layer cards. I used a freebie digital stamp from Uniko Stamps and positioned it so that it would be in the center of my card front. I used a store bought birthday card that I had received to die cut the dragonfly base from. I die cut the dragonfly outline/body from some gold foil card stock. The dragonfly dies are from STAMPlorations. I liked the colors of the dragonfly, so I decided to use them for the color scheme for the entire card. The image was colored with Copics. The sentiment stamps are from Uniko Big & Bold Happy Stamp set, stamped with Hero Arts Ink. I added a few gems for interest.

Aaahhh, Coffee!

I managed to get one more card made to enter in the Coffee Lovers Hop. The coffee cup was cut from a store bought card (It was a pretty sunset scene) using the Coffee Cup Fri-dies from CAS-ual Fridays. I wish the picture was better so you could see it looks almost marbled. I cut some brown card stock for the coffee. The flowers were cut from STAMPlorations Trendy Spring Blooms. I cut the banner tag with MFT Jumbo Fishtail Stitched Banner Stax. The sentiment is from CAS-ual Friday’s Cup of Coffee set. I added the silver metallic ribbon on the tag.

Spring Coffee Hop

I finally had the chance to make a card for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop. I needed a get well card for my boss who just had knee surgery. We are not allowed to have any food, Candy, gum or drinks in the laboratory. My boss has an enclosed office and she has a Keurig that she makes her coffee in the mornings. We only get to smell the coffee brewing. It’s hard to keep my mind on work when I smell that coffee! I had saved a coffee cup from McDonalds and pulled off the cute yellow polka dot wrapper and cut a tag out with a die from MFT Jumbo Fishtail Banner set. I already had the smaller white tag cut out so I stamped the sentiment using Memento Cottage Green Ink. I used the mug and the bird from STAMPlorations Hello Coffee. I colored the bird with Copics. The yellow card stock and the green plaid (Lawn Fawn Summer Perfectly Plaid Paper) rectangle panels were die cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Dies. The flowers were die cut using dies from STAMPlorations Trendy Spring Blooms.
