More coffee

Like my previous post, this digi stamp was created by Shery Russ and shared on this blog Challenge. I colored it with Copics and added a small satin bow.  The sentiment was cut from DCWV red glitter card stock using this die.

Be the Spark

I made a few CAS Christmas cards to send to my siblings. The digital image and sentiment are from Graciellie Designs Christmas Cheer set. I colored the image with Copics and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the flower and the coffee (or cocoa).

Feminine Deer

I wanted to make another tag for Ellen Hutson’s 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist. I love poinsettias and wanted to incorporate this awesome STAMPlorations Reindeer dies as well as the pretty STAMPlorations Poinsettia Row stamp. I cut the tag from Neenah Solar White Card stock using MFT Stitched Traditional Tag Stax. I used VersaFine Vintage Sepia Ink to Stamp the Poinsettia Row stamp along the bottom of the tag. I colored the image with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the flower centers. I attached the reindeer silhouette and added the fun poinsettia (from Hobby Lobby) to his antlers for an extra feminine touch. The ribbon is from my stash.

O Holy Night

Another quick tag using some dies. The lovely “O Holy Night” die is from STAMPlorations. Owner/Designer Shery makes some of the best phrase dies. The die cut comes out in one piece, even the dot on the “i” is attached-no losing it on the floor or in the garbage can! I used some DCWV blue glitter card stock for the phrase. The tag was cut from a Life Style Crafts die set. The snowflakes
were cut using Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake dies from some cream colored DCWV glitter card stock. With all of that glitter, I just added some silver ribbon from my stash.

Joy Tag #2

What’s nice about doing multiple panels when doing the smooshing technique with Distress inks is that you end up with extras laying in your craft room until you have that “ah-hah” moment when you come up with a project for the leftover panels. I used the largest die from my MFT Traditional Stitched tag dies to cut out a tag from the ink smooshed panel. I was inspired by Norine’s tag so I
went through my stash of Thickers and found these pretty antique gold/light copper metallic letters for my “J” and “Y”. I had these sweet poinsettia flowers from Hobby Lobby that I thought would make a good “O”. I thought about die cutting and making my own poinsettia, but I can only be up on my broken leg for short periods of time, so I had to take a few shortcuts. I still think it’s festive and feminine.

Joy Tag

This tag took me a few days, in small bits of time to put together, since I now have a broken leg. My craft room is a bit of a disaster, so it’s hard to maneuver with a knee scooter, but I’ve had this tag on my mind for a week or so, so I wanted to attempt my idea. The pine leaf sprigs and the word joy were cut from a Carta Bella die set called Joyful Pine. I cut the word joy out from both plain red card stock and from some DCWV red glitter card stock. I adhered the glitter die cut over the other die cut to give the word some depth. I had run a piece of Neenah Desert Storm Card stock through my Gemini Junior using an embossing folder (Woven) and then used MFT Jumbo Fishtail Banner Stax to cut a tag from the embossed panel. I also cut a tag from white card stock, using the next smaller banner die so that I could adhere it to the back, to write on as well as reinforcement. I cut the pine cones using Spellbinders Fall Foliage Shapabilities die set. I used a Copic marker to add shadows on the pine cones. I added some Cranberry Trendy Twine and some gems from my stash.

Simple nature

I needed a card for my brother’s birthday. He’s a very simple person-definitely no frills. He loves being outside. I had made the background panel using some embossing paste with the Christmas Tree 1 ARTplorations Stencil a while back. It seemed like the perfect background for some die cut trees, cut with Die-namites Winter Forest die. I was going to color the white cut out, but then decided that I liked the simplicity of the white die cut staggered over the dark green die cut. The sentiment is from Unity stamps, stamped on vellum with Memento Cottage Ivy Ink with Clear heat embossing to brighten it up. I always have to stop myself from wanting to add any “bling” to these masculine cards-the temptation is real!!!

Pink and Alcohol Ink

I like traditional Christmas colors of red, green, white, silver and gold. But there’s something magical about pastel colors for Christmas. I was inspired by Carolyn Peeler’s pretty pink deer tag at Ellen Hutson-12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist Day 1. I made the background using alcohol inks and Yupo paper. I cut both the kraft tag and the alcohol ink background from MFT Stitched Traditional Tag dies. The deer, trees and sentiment were stamped with Unity stamps. The snowflakes are Recollections. I used some White Wink of Stella on the deer and pink tree, but it’s hard to see the sparkle in the photo.

Poinsettia Coffee Tag

The tag was cut using MFT Stitched Traditional dies. I used some white modeling paste and STAMPlorations Christmas Tree 1 Stencil to add the modeling paste to some Neenah Desert Storm card stock. Once the little trees had dried, I used Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink to color the trees. I used the coffee cup die from CAS-ual Friday’s Coffee Cup Fri Dies to cut the cup from an up cycled Starbucks holiday to go cup. I also cut it from some dark brown card stock and adhered it to the brown cup for more depth. I used the little brown piece where the coffee is supposed to be and added some Glossy Accents to make the coffee look real. The Poinsettia was cut with Our Daily Bread Designs Peaceful Poinsettias dies. I cut 2 of the layers with some red glitter card stock for some sparkle. The 3-D snowflakes sticker is from Recollections. The pine branch was cut from a Spellbinders Shapabilities die. The little white sentiment tag was cut from the same set as the large tag. Sentiment is from Dare2BArtzy Poinsettia Tangle Stamp set. I added some Clear embossing powder to the Memento Cottage Ivy Ink and heat embossed the sentiment.
