Holy Birthday!

I made the blue and red background with alcohol inks. I thought my grandson would like it on his birthday card. The blue mat was cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Inside and Out Rectangle dies. I used a Batman Stamp from Viva Las Vegas and used a Pierced Circle die from My Favorite Things to cut it out. I colored it with Copic markers, inspired by the colors of the 4th card on Maria’s blogpost.  I used Paper Smooches Bam Bubble die to cut a fun mat for the colored image and used foam square adhesives to pop it up. I wrote the sentiment (modeled after the 1960’s Batman series) on a banner die cut from My Creative Time and popped it up with foam squares.

Time for Tea

One more card to enter for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Hop. Another alcohol ink background was cut from MFT Pierced Circle Stax dies. I adhered it to a doily and put that on a Stitched Rectangle cut with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Inside and Out dies. I attached it all to a navy blue panel. The tea cups are from Super Sponsor STAMPlorations Always Tea Time. I used a sentiment from Super Sponsor Verve Stamps Sentimental Wishes and stamped it with Memento Nautical blue ink on a little doily cut from Verve Stamps Lacy Frames Dies. I also cut one of the Lacy Frame die cuts in half and made little doilies for the teacups. I was inspired by the sweet colors on a cupcake card by Deepti.
