Cozy cup

I really loved the inspiration photo for Inspired By-Hello Spring Challenge. Those daffodils remind me of the long row of yellow daffodils at my grandparents home. My grandpa used to bring us a big bouquet when he’d come over for dinner. The blue and yellow together remind me of one of the first weddings I stood up in-my oldest sister’s. Her colors were blue and yellow. I colored the digital image from GraciellieDesign Coffee and Love set with Copics and a little gold Wink of Stella and cut it out using an an MFT Pierced Circle die. The sentiment is from the same digital set and cut out using an MFT Stitched Tag die. The yellow polka dot strip is from a McDonalds coffee cup, trimmed down and added to a yellow strip of card stock. I added some gold thread behind the image for some interest.

Coffee or Tea?

A while ago I just had to have the Hero Arts Nesting Tea Cup Infinity Dies. I used the largest die to cut a Tea Cup shaped card from a folded piece of blue card stock, making sure to place the top of the cup above the fold so that the die only cut the sides and bottoms of the paper. I also cut a small piece of brown card stock using just the top sliver of the cup for my coffee or tea and added some Clear Wink of Stella. I printed the flower from Hero Arts Poetic Petals digital set on a piece of Neenah Solar white card stock and colored it with Copics and a little Clear Wink of Stella. I used the next smaller Tea Cup die to cut out the flower and trimmed the handle off. I did some ink blending around the flower with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink and stamped the Hero Arts sentiment in Memento Vintage Sepia. I even used the smallest tea cup die to cut out the cup handle!

A little Bokeh

I wanted to enter the Ellen Hutson Pin-sights Challenge because the colors and photo inspiration are gorgeous. I love that Paper mosaic! I ink blended a background with Distress Inks in colors that matched the color palette as best I could and then used Essentials by Ellen Bokeh Dots Stamp set to stamp some circles and rings with water. The panel was heat set to prevent further spots or fading. I used a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die to cut the panel down so I could add some eggplant card stock behind it. I then used a sentiment from Essentials by Ellen Mondo Magnolia set to stamp with embossing ink and used white embossing powder to make the sentiment stand out against the background. I added some Crystal drops from Pretty Pink Posh to look like water droplets.

One layer

I’m trying to make more one layer cards, but it is really hard for me not to add more to them.
I used stamps from Always Tea Time from Shery Russ Designs and colored with Copics.
The dragonfly is from a Crafters Workshop stencil. I used Distress Inks to stencil the image.
I did add some Clear Wink of Stella for a bit of sparkle.

Hello

I made a quick CAS card using the digi stamp (illustrated by Shery Russ) in this STAMPlorations blog post for the Never Ending Anything Goes Challenge. I colored the image with Copics I my favorite colors (pretty much rainbow colors!) and used some Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Wedding Shower Card

I used some Denami stamps to make a wedding shower card for my daughter.
Her colors are Teal, Gray and yellow. I colored the images with Copics and added some Clear Wink of Stella to the Umbrella, heart, eyes and beaks.
