I got this die (click to see what the original die cut looks like) from Simon Says Stamp and it sat waiting for the perfect time to be used. I recently needed a card for a co-worker who was just diagnosed with breast cancer. I used Distress Oxide Ink in Picked Raspberry to make a slightly ombré background. I sprayed it with some white sparkley NBUS spray from Heidi Swap (I’m sorry, I can’t remember the exact name and I’m not home right now) and also flicked a few drops for some interest. I used Bristol paper to cut out the original die shape and then used MFT Stitched Circle dies to cut out the ring with the floral circle (if you didn’t click on “this die” above, you may want to do it now to see what the original die cut looks like so you can understand what I did). I then colored the floral buds and leaves with Zig Clean Color Real brush pens and added some Clear Wink of Stella on top for more sparkles. I used Ranger Multi Matte Medium to adhere the floral wreath to the panel.
You can see all of the shimmery sparkles on the second picture.
I used some Distress Embossing ink to stamp the sentiment with a Hero Arts sentiment Stamp, then added some white embossing powder for a nice subtle sentiment.
I’m linking this to NBUS #12, Word Art Wednesday #302-#303 Anything Goes, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge-Anything Goes, Tic, Tac Toe Challenge #017 (middle column down-open, circle, glitter paper-how about sparkly paper?) and The Card Concept #78-{Pastel Party}
