Coffee Love

This is just a quick post for a few challenges. I used the free Verve Love From Me Digital set and am playing along with the Love From Me Challenge at Verve. I used the Paper Smooches Cozy Coffee die set and am linking to the Paper Smooches January Challenge (see photo below). I'm also linking up to Darnell's NBUS Challenge #9. My Never Before Used Schtuff is the Paper Smooches Coffee Cozy die set. I did not try the optional technique. I ran out of time!
I will enter this in the Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes with dies and the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.
The printed card stock was from Pebbles Everyday pad (pink) and Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid-Fall (orange). The sequins are from the Pretty Pink Posh Tropical Days mix. I used Copics to color the vellum heart on the coffee cozy and the sentiment.

NBUS Challenge #8

It's time for Blog Birthaversary SURPRISE! NBUS Challenge #8! Darnell has challenged us to not only use our never before used Schtuff, but to also try using colored pencils on kraft paper.
So here is my first attempt. I stamped the flower stamp from Verve Stamps-Surely Goodness set in Versamark Tuxedo Black ink on Neenah Desert Storm card stock. I only have Staedtler water color pencils, so that's what I used. I used a damp paper towel to dab at some of the areas where I blended 2 colors together, just to get a better color result.
My NBUS item was the Stitched Hexagon dies by Pretty Pink Posh. I popped the hexagon with the image on it up with some foam tape, just to give a bit of dimension. I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle dies to cut my panels with. The sentiment or sediment, as Darnell likes to call it, is from the same Verve stamp set. The sequins are Pretty Pink Posh, Lavender Moon.
I have wanted to try coloring on kraft card stock, but I wasn't sure how well the water color pencils would work. I like it, but I can see how a better quality of pencil would improve the colors.
Thanks Darnell, for including us in your Blog Birthaversary Surprise!

NBUS #8

My color inspiration comes from Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge 282 (Sorry, but I had to use a little green too!)

A Birthday Fox

I'm finally getting some mojo back. I haven't felt crafty for quite some time. I have been wanting to open up and finally use this sweet Fox Friends Stamp and die set that I had to have for a while and needed a birthday card, so it was time to get inked, little fox! I used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut panels from various card stock and patterned paper from Pebbles Everyday paper pad. I used the Frosted Snowflake Stencil by Echo Park and some white pigment ink (Craftsmart) from Michaels to make the snowy background. I used Copic markers to color the fox (E29, E31, YR27 and YR23). I also used some White Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Tip marker to highlight the white areas on the Fox and the snowy hill, cut with Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 dies. You can't tell in the first picture, but the second picture shows the subtle glittery highlights. I added a few Clear Droplets 6mm, by Pretty Pink Posh to a few snowflakes for some texture.
