Give kindness

I love this Coffee Cup Card die set from Honey Bee Stamps. I cut the card in two so I could make some coffee cup tags. I used a coffee cozy from McDonalds to cut a cozy for my cup. There was this sweet sentiment already on the back of the cozy, kind of hard to read but it says “Give the gift of kindness and hope it gets re-gifted.” I was surprised to find it, but happy I could re-purpose it!
I added some snowflakes cut with Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake dies. The snowflake that’s blurred
is a sparkly sticker. I added a gift card holder cut with a die from My Creative Time and added it to the back of the tag. I’m becoming a Tag making addict! They’re so fun :-)

Away in a manger

I’m still getting my Christmas projects blogged-phew!
This manger die from STAMPlorations is so pretty
and simply states the reason for celebrating Christmas.
I used a pine tree stamp from Memory Box to Stamp in white ink on black card stock
for a little background. I popped up the manger die cut to highlight it and added a few stamps from a mix by Lucy’s Cards. The white tag frame is a from Memory Box die set.

Winter Coffee

I found these Hero Arts Nesting Infinity Tea Cup dies for a good price (gently used) on Amazon and decided to splurge! I wanted to make one more entry for the Blog Named Hero Winter Holiday Challenge, so I made a shape card. I also used Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflake dies and a banner die from My Creative Time for the sentiment from the Hero Arts Off Beat Holiday Messages set.

Peace, Love, Joy

I love this word phrase die from STAMPlorations. I cut it out, using some gold foil card stock. I stamped some pine trees with the Small Forest Pine Memory Box stamp. I used the MFT Stitched Fishtail Banner dies to cut the white stamped panel, a red panel and a vellum panel out and layered them on a panel cut with a Simon Says Stamp Stitched Inside and Out rectangle die, using printed card stock from Kaisercraft and adhered to the Neenah Desert Storm card base.

Santa card

This is a CAS card I made for both a niece and a nephew. The stamp set is from Technique Tuesday and has some humorous sentiments. I used a Snow pen from Marvy Uchida to color the white of the hat and Santa's beard and mustache. The "ink" puffs up for some raised texture when you heat it.

Santa tag

I made a few last minute tags and cards for gifts and this was one of them. I just love this Santa from Technique Tuesday. I used some white Wink of Stella to put a bit of sparkle on his hat and beard, colored his hat with a Copic marker & used some washi tape from Little B.

Joy Shaker

I bought the Pretty Pink Posh Joy Shaker die a few weeks ago because I love the word, not only for my friend’s name is Joy, but also because the word promotes well being. I decided it was time to try it out on a tag for my friend. I cut it out of the red foil card stock and some white craft foam.
I used a piece of clear packaging from a stamp or die set and found a circle die that was a little bigger than the inside diameter of the Joy die and cut it out. I adhered the plastic circle to the back of the red foil die cut and let it dry a while. I then adhered the white craft foam to the underneath side of the plastic, let it dry for a bit, then added a gold shaker mix from Lucy’s Cards. I had die cut a white circle to put behind the shaker so everything showed up better. The kraft circle tag was die cut with an MFT Pierced Circle die. The Ribbon is from my stash. My friend loved it!

3-D Tag

I wanted to try a 3-D tag inspired by Jennifer McGuire from the 12 Tags with a Feminine Twist 201(Day 1) over at Ellen Hutson’s The Classroom. I used Stitched Snowflake dies from Lawn Fawn, Stitched Tag Die-Namics from MFT and a sentiment stamp from Verve Stamps. The glittery snowflakes are from Michael’s and the Ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Let’s get Stuffed

I saw Hero Arts Offbeat Holiday Messages Stamp set and knew that I wanted to have it around for some humorous holiday tags and cards. I wanted to make one more tag for the 12 Tags of Christmas with a Feminine Twist over on Ellen Hutson’s Classroom. I chose to make a neutral tag, inspired by Julie Ebersol’s sweet neutral tag, with this stag head die from Echo Park and adorned it with a poinsettia die cut from Our Daily Bread Peaceful Poinsettia dies. The sparkly snowflake is a Recollections sticker from Michaels. The ribbon and jute are from my stash.

One More

I’m linking up one more card to The Winter Coffee Lover’s Bloghop. I used The Coffee Cup Card die set from Super Sponsor Honey Bee Stamps to cut out my coffee cup card. It has the dies you need to make it a shaker card, but I ran out of time so I made it CAS. The Poinsettia was cut using a die set from Our Daily Bread Designs, the Stamp is from Super Sponsor Verve Stamps and the coffee cozy was cut from the outer paper from a McDonalds coffee cup. Poinsettia-Red or White?

I whipped together this card last night for the The Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I used some Poinsettia dies from Our Daily Bread Designs to cut Poinsettia layers from some (cheap) felt. I guess I should listen to people when they say that nicer wool felt cuts better with thin metal dies. I ended up having to trim them out because they didn’t cut completely. Anyway, I have always loved poinsettias, but have been torn between which color I like best, red or white. So I made a felt Poinsettia in both red and white and now need you to vote which one looks best. I am offering some blog candy for the hop...a package of the to go Coffee cup stickers you see in the card, some red Poinsettia dimensional flower stickers, a couple of coffee/tea stamps that I have duplicates of and surprise or two. Just tell me which color looks better, red or white.

Coffee Lover Shaker tag

I’m not really a tag maker, but got inspired after hopping along on Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags. There were so many fun and gorgeous tags! It’s too late to link up and win prizes, but the inspiration is still there. There’s also some amazing tags over at Ellen Hutson’s The Classroom-12 Days of Tags going on now. I’m linking this to Day 5-Snow, inspired by Carissa Wiley’s tag.
So here it goes...my try at tag making. I used MFT Stitched Tag Stax to cut out 2 of the same sized tags from Neenah Solar White card stock. I used MFT Stitched Circle Scalloped Edge Frames to cut the circle out of the top tag for the shaker window. I used MFT Circle Shaker Pouches and filled one with some Iridescent White shaker filler from Lucy’s Things to look like snow. The Pretty Pink Posh Holly dies are cut with DCWV glitter paper. The sentiment and the coffee cup (colored with Copics) are from Verve Stamps Holiday Sweets Digital set. A few gems and some Ribbon from my stash and that’s it. Kind of CAS.

Thankful Tag

I wanted to join in Stamplorations TAGplorations November Challenge:-All about Gratitude as well as Stamplorations 3rd Giving Thanks Blog Hop and Wishlist Linky Party.
I have never really made a tag before-well maybe one to put on a card, but not a free standing tag.
I had bought some MFT Stitched tags a couple of weeks ago and decided to give it a try. I used some Spellbinder leaf dies and a sweet scripty Thanks die from My Creative Time. I just had to add some sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for some bling. I have to admit, it was fun and fairly easy to make this.
I am thankful for family, friends, being able to spend time crafting and sharing my joy when I mail hand made cards to people and the ability to work in a service related field.

Silly Monster

I made a quick card for my grandson for a Halloween gift card (I'm a little late!). I used Your Next Stamp Silly Monsters to stamp my little gift card bag that I cut using Paper Smooches Deco Bag Wise Die (Code for $5 off orders of $5 or more at Simon Says Stamp is HARVEST as of this posting).
I used Faber Castell Polychromos pencils to color my monster.

Candy Corn/Coffee Lovers Sketch

I saw this fun sketch from Kerry on the Coffee Loving Cardmakers blog and had to make something from some ink smooshing backgrounds I had laying around. I like to eat candy corn with peanuts...Mmmm! I liked the candy corn color scheme and went with it. I used a coffee flair from D.L. Art. The stamp has no company name on it and I bought it from a stamp shop in southern Indiana. The Trendy Twine is from Annie’s Paper Place.
