Paper quilt

I used a discount code at MFT Stamps (celebrating their 10th birthday) and bought the Die-namics Quilt Square Cover-Up die. As soon as I got it, I had to try it! I cut it in 3 different colors and then started playing. I'm not sure that this is my favorite grouping, but it was late at night and I decided to just start adhering pieces down. I need a card for a friend, so sometimes, time is the deciding factor.
I used a sentiment from the Simply Amazing set, some banner dies from My Creative Time and some Sparkling Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh. The ribbon under the banners is from Verve Stamps.

I'm entering this in: Viva la Verve Sketch: July Sketch 2
The Heart Desires Challenge 2 (used 3 colors)
Stamping Smiles Design: Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge Fourteen (Add Dimension/Intricate Dies/Ribbon)
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Anything Goes
and Happy Little Stampers July Anything Goes with Dies

Mojo Monday #455

I need to play with sketches more. They really help motivate ideas for me.
This sketch is from Mojo Monday #455-Contest. I flipped it a bit! The colors are from The July Verve Inspiration Challenge.  I used Verve Simply Amazing stamp set and Verve Simply Daisies die set. I colored the flowers with Copic markers. The centers were stamped and die cut with the same set, colored with white Wink of Stella and colored on top with a Copic marker. The printed paper is from American Crafts #summer and Basic Grey Highline. I used Versamark Onyx Black ink. The ribbon was a freebie.

I'm linking this to CAS Mix Up Card Challenge: July Challenge. I stamped, used Copic markers and die cut.
Edit to Above: I'm also adding this to CASology: Week 205: Chevron and also The Daily Marker: 30 Day Coloring Challenge

30 Day Coloring Challenge

I wanted to post something for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge hosted by Kathy Racoosin.
I used to love to color when I was young. Now, it seems so hard to find the time and when I do have time, I either don't have any mojo or I get too critical of myself.
So I'm trying to take Kathy's advice and just color every day, even if for just a few minutes.
Here's what I did today after work. Just some Copics and Wink of Stella for this fun cake stamp from Denami Designs. Wha la-simple and done!

Ombre Birthday

I love purple and green together. There's something so soothing about them....reminds me of violets, lavendar or lilacs.
I used Verve Floral Notes set that I had won on a Viva Inspiration/New Release blog hop and a little freebie from a Verve order for the sentiment. Julee is so generous!
The paper is Lil Inkers Designs Dip Dyed Ombre. The glitter tape is American Crafts.
I colored the flowers with Copics and some black and clear Wink of Stella.
The banner die is from My Creative Time Sentiment Label dies.

Cancer sucks!

I needed a card for a relative who is on her second bout of ovarian cancer.
They are using some new chemo drugs that have helped put her into a semi remission.
I saw the colors for the Verve Stamps: Inspiration Challenge and decided to use them for my colors, since teal/turquoise is the color for ovarian cancer.
I used stamps from Verve Just Breathe. The paper is from MFT Stamps Subtle Plaids. The flowers are from my stash. Sequins are from Pretty Pink Posh.
