Leftovers

I had this leaf stamped panel leftover from when I was playing around with these stamps for a card that I made a week or so ago. It's where you use distress ink to ink up your stamp and then mist it with water so you get a water color effect. I have really been enjoying the gorgeous colors of fall here in the Midwest. These colors in the panel remind me of what I have been seeing. I really wanted to use it to make another card. How many times do we save  leftover scraps and say to ourselves, "I could use this" and then find it a month or more later and decide to toss it? I was determined to use this piece!
I try to send a card every other month or so to different aunts who are older and have health issues. I hope that my cards and the notes that I write to them help cheer them up and help them to know that they have mattered in my life. I think that this card will go to one of them.

Mojo Monday Sketch challenge 318 is going on now. Here is the sketch

I flipped it on it's side to accommodate my leaf panel.

I also used the leaves from the mood board over at  Berry71Bleu for their current challenge, "Change is Beautiful." I am putting my little old card in this challenge. You should go over and see the awesome layouts over there!

Thanks for taking a peek at my "Leftovers!" Here is a picture I took of some beautiful trees in a shopping center near me.
