A little Gold

I am really loving the Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 class. Yes, I am behind...the 102 class is nearly here. Oh well!
I used the same brushless water color technique for this card that I did for the last post, but I like how this turned out. I only went over it with a little Creative Inspirations Chocolate paint and some Egyptian Gold Twinkling H2O along the top of the flowers. I wasn't happy with the dots I made with a Gold Viva Pearl Pen, but once on, it's too hard to remove.

I am entering this in these challenges:
Creative Inspirations Paint Anything Goes
Moxie Fab World All That Glitters is Gold
Unity Stamp Co. Friends with Flair
Repeat Impressions-Designer's Choice Challenge Happy Fall Y'all

Card recipe: Unity stamp by Donna Downey Insightful Meadows, Ranger Distress Inks-Iced Spruce, Bundled Sage, Rusty Hinge, Brushed Corderoy, Vintage Photo, Artist's Loft watercolor paper, cardstock from stash, Creative Inspirations paint Chocolate, Twinkling H2O Egyptian Gold, Gold Viva Pearl Pen, Celebrate It ribbon, Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Scotch ATG adhesive and Glue Dots.

Sunflowers

I love sunflowers! They are one of the heartiest flowers out there, they're pretty to look at and they give us sunflower seeds!
For my card, I used a Unity Unity Stamp of the Week called Sunflower-Missing you friend. I am taking the Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry 101 and tried using the Brushless Watercolor technique, but I was not happy with how it turned out, so I just painted over the flowers with some  distress ink, Creative Inspirations paint and some Egyptian Gold Twinkling H2O to give it a little golden shimmer.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:
The Curtain Call-Sunflower Surprise
Creative Inspirations Paint-Inspired by Autumn Colors
Paper Issues-Put Some Twine on it!
Our Daily Bread Designs-Fall Colors Challenge
Unity Stamp Co.-Friends with Flair

You can see the Twinkling H2O a little better on the close up.
Here are the Creative Inspirations paints that I used

Mojo Sunday!

I am entering this card over at Mojo Monday. But today was a busy Sunday, so I had to pause a moment to remember what day of the week it was. We had my niece's wedding shower today. She is my godchild, so I wanted to make something special for her. My intentions were there, but so are my allergies-full force! I had such a headache yesterday and had to watch my grandson, so my crafty time was already greatly reduced. I took a nap, woke up at 12:30am and felt like making a card. It really helps me to either have a color combo or a sketch. My niece's colors are navy blue and coral (which is kind of hard to find). Here is the Mojo Monday sketch

Here's a closeup of the Prima flowers and the Zva pearls. The inside sentiment says "May all your wishes come true". I don't have wedding stamps, so I just went with a floral theme. I think that she liked it!
I will use this as my Unity Friends with Flair entry. No more crafty time for me since my mother-in-law was in the hospital the past 2 days.

Products used: Glitz Love you Madly 6x6 pad, Distress Ink Chipped Sapphire, Unity Stamp of the Week-True Wishes, Prima Flowers, Zva Creative pearl swirl, Scotch ATG adhesive, Glue Dots, white cs for base, Wilton doily.
