I decided to try the Tuesday Trigger Challenge over at the Moxie Fab World blog. I liked the palette. Isn't it pretty?
I have to admit, it was a little challenging for me. I needed a card for my nephew and his wife. They had a baby girl almost three weeks ago and she's already had open heart surgery. She's already off the vent and her central line is out-Wow! Talk about a miracle!
Anyway, I only have one stamp that pertains to babies (I guess that means that I need to shop for some more!) and it wasn't fitting on my design I had in my head. I really wanted to double mat the sentiment, but I didn't have enough room (I guess I should have made this a 6x6 card instead of an A2). Also, I wasn't sure that I wanted so many colors in my card for baby Mary. But then I figured that her mom will probably be thrilled to get a new baby card. I think that we were all holding back to see how successful the surgery was. Now that she's doing so well, we can let loose a little!
I found the heart paper in the Glitz Color me Happy 6x6 pad-I love that one!
I even made an angel and cross stick/hat pin special for their miracle baby.
Here is what I ended up with.
Products used: Echo Park Sweet Day, Glitz Vintage Blue, Glitz Color Me Happy, Glitz Love You Madly, Authentique Lively (all 6x6 pads), Unity Stamps Devoted (and another set-can't find it right now!), Distress Ink Broken China, Ripe Persimmon and Victorian Velvet, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Spellbinders Labels Four, Basic Grey Opaline Pearls, Recollection doily, Glue Dots, Thermoweb Foam Squares and my Scotch ATG.
