Here is another Friday-they are just flying by! Today is my youngest daughter's birthday. She is in college and lives about 120 miles away. Being that I am off of work today, my oldest daughter, my grandson and I are going to take a road trip to take her (and probably a couple of her room mates) out for dinner. I baked a small cake and some cup cakes and will take her some money in a card I made a few weeks back (Here is that post), since that's all college kids usually want is money!
Anyway, I have been recovering from a nasty respiratory virus, so haven't been very productive. I finally got a little inspiration from several challenges and I am still fixated on flowers-such a pretty subject to be fixated on! I love all of the colors that spring and early summer bring us in the form of flowers.
My friend Julie O. sent me the name of another sketch challenge blog Sunday Sketch and Stamp and here is their current sketch that I used
Challenge #59 over at Crop Chocolate was to use buttons, ribbon and an image (as well as 50% of products purchased from Crop Chocolate), so that was easy to incorporate into this sketch.
I wanted to use a new stamp that I purchased from Unity Stamp Co. called Tulips and Daisies. I wanted to try painting the image with some sparkly paints from Creative Inspirations Paints. They are super easy to use, work on any surface and clean up with soap and water!
I stamped my image with Stazon Jet Black ink on a piece of DCWV Adhesive Fabric stack. They are white 6x6 sheets and they are a lightweight linen material with adhesive already on them.
After painting my image and adding some water droplets and puddles with Baby Blue Stickles for the Linky party over at All That Stickles blog, I added some ribbon from 3 Girl Jam. I will enter this card in the following challenges:
Sunday Sketch and Stamp Challenge #153
Crop Chocolate challenge #59
Unity Friends with Flair
All That Stickles Baby Blue linky party
3 Girl Jam's Anything Goes Challenge
Really Reasonable Ribbon's Mother's Day and a ribbon challenge
I feel that I should have used red ribbon instead of the aqua, but it is done. I will send this to my aunt for Mother's Day, (my mom's baby sister) since she is the closest to my mom who is still living. Have a great week!
Products used: So Happy Together 6x6 by EP, Happy Together buttons by FP, Barn Door Distress Ink, Glossy Accents, 3GJam Ribbon, DCWV Adhesive Fabric stack, Unity stamp Tulips and Daisies, Stazon Jet Black ink, Creative Inspirations paints Antique Gold, Garnet, Tanzanite, Chocolate, Green Olive and Winter Frost, Baby Blue Stickles
