Mojo Monday and Crop Chocolate Challenge #50
The challenge at Crop Chocolate this week is to make a project that sparkles and shines like the snow. I needed to make a birthday card for a friend whose birthday I missed. I checked out the Mojo Monday sketch and thought it would work well.
I was also inspired by the color palette over at The Play Date Cafe (even though I didn't get the card made in time to enter their weekly challenge)

Seize the Birthday
It's time for another masculine card over at Seize the Birthday.
I am limited on time, so no rambling today! Here is the sketch
I had to turn the sketch on it's side so I could fit this stamped image from Our Daily Bread Designs called Keep Climbing-one of my favorite stamps from ODBD. I colored it with Staedtler water color pencils-so easy! I just shaded the colors on and took a slightly damp paper towel to blend the colors.
I used papers from Basic Grey Out of Print 6x6 paper pad and attached the sentiment with a brad from my stash. Here is my card

Valentine
I have only been making cards for a year. I decided to try making valentine's cards for all three daughters and my husband. I have only been coloring with alcohol markers for a month or two, so I wanted to incorporate that into the cards. I have become a sketch addict, so I searched for a sketch that would best fit the stamps I wanted to use. One of my daughters is a dog lover so I picked the perfect stamp and found a sketch for her card over at The Deconstructed Sketch blog.
Here is my take on the sketch. I was fairly happy with how the dog and the overalls turned out. I need more practice on hair though. I'm entering this in the Anything Goes with a ribbon challenge over at the 3 Girl Jam blog.
Products used: Carta Bella Beautiful Moments 6x6 paper pad, Unity Stamp Co.'s Constant Companions stamp set, ribbon from Ribbon Carousel, Distress Ink in Faded Jeans & Black Soot, CM heart punches, my ATG adhesive gun, markers for the dog: MEPXYs W00, W31, Copics 023 & 027, MEPXYs R37 and W04 (dog's tongue).
Here's a picture of all of the markers I used:
I also entered this over at Creative Inspirations Paint blog weekly challenge which is Valentines. I wish my order of Creative Inspirations paint had arrived before I sent this card off, but it didn't, so I am submitting it as is.

Mojo Monday, Tuesday Alchemy and Unity FWF
I needed a card sketch for my valentine card for my husband, so I went to Mojo Monday.
Here is sketch #280
I wanted to use Unity Stamp Co's You make me Steamy Stamp of the Week set.
I also wanted to make a woodgrain background to go with the weekly challenge over at Crop Chocolate, so I used the Tim Holtz Woodgrain embossing folder on a piece of Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic and then rubbed some Distress Ink in Walnut Stain over the raised areas. I had stamped some red hearts before I embossed the cs to make it look like someone had drawn hearts on a tree.
I am also entering this over at Tuesday Alchemy for their "My Hearts all a flutter" challenge.
Here's my whole list of products: Out of Print 6x6 by Basic Grey, Everyday Eclectic 6x6 by Echo Park, DI Walnut Stain and Black Soot, Copic markers R21 and E35, Prima Say it in Crystals, Marischino Cherry twine by The Twinery, Unity stamp You make me Steamy, Studio G heart stamp, DI Barn Door, MEPXY marker R37, TH Woodgrain emboss folder, cs, foam squares, ATG adhesive gun.

It's time for another sketch challenge over at Seize the Birthday Card Challenge Blog.
Here is the sketch and the challenge is for a feminine card this week

It's hard for me sometimes to know when my card or layout is "done." I keep thinking that I need to add something else to it. I added the ribbon on this one and decided that it was done :)

Vintage Doily Shop and Jillibean Favorite Sentiments, Really Reasonable Ribbon November monthly kit and my Scotch ATG adhesive gun.

Play Date Cafe and Ribbon Carousel
The color challenge over at The Play Date Cafe was so pretty and I just happened to be making a card with these colors
I used a past sketch from Seize the Birthday and made this card for one of my daughters.
Some ribbon and hearts will make it eligible for the Love is in the Air Challenge at Ribbon Carousel.
This Unity Stamp Co. stamp called Every Breath is so fun to color! I am still learning about coloring hair. Blowing hair is kind of hard-it just doesn't stay put!
Here are the MEPXY (and 1 Copic) markers that I used
Other supplies: Carta Bella Beautiful Moments 6x6 pad, Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Aged Mahogony and Faded Jeans (for the sky), Really Reasonable Ribbon, Recollections doily, flower and leaves, Creative Memories Heart Punch, my ATG adhesive runner (love it!) and Glue Dots.

Seize the Birthday (Masculine card) and Unity's Friends with Flair
Time for another male birthday card for the Seize the Birthday Card Challenge. I am really liking these challenges because the sketches are fairly CAS and it is pushing me to get birthday cards made!
The sketch is the same as last week.
Thanks for taking a look!
The sketch is the same as last week.
I needed a card for my husband's birthday, so I chose to use the Unity Stamp set Authentic Man. I will enter this in Unity's Friends with Flair challenge also.
I used paper from Basic Grey Pyrus 6x6 collection & Doodlebug Design North Pole. I sprayed some ribbon from Ribbon Carousel with some home made glitter mist.
I used black and clear embossing powder after stamping the images with embossing ink. I used Copic marker R27 and a Tim Holtz Distress Marker in Weathered Wood to color the car. I could have shaded it, but I knew my husband would probably like the bright red car better, plus, I only have one other marker in that group. I used my Creative Memories heart punch and some Walnut Stain Distress Ink to ink the edges. Here is what I came up withThanks for taking a look!
